We are thrilled to unveil "Building a Regenerative Future," ReGen’s first Regeneration Manifesto. This report presents a glimpse into the future of regeneration - unveiling the potential of early-stage companies to reframe
climate change as an opportunity to rethink who we are and what we desire.
Every company, investment, and technology is, by definition, degenerative unless it is regenerative. Regenerative companies transform systems - actively restoring the planet rather than incrementally minimising damage - with a daring ambition that leads to talent attraction, customer loyalty, lower-cost capital, category creation, and market dominance.
Complex issues cannot be grasped through their symptoms or isolated parts. Instead, we focus on these elements' interconnectedness and dynamic nature, identifying targeted transformations within each area of our investments – agriculture, food, materials, climate, and nature - that can shift the overarching system.
Success in this pursuit is more ambitious than a score sheet. Distilling impact into neat metrics like tonnes of carbon drawn down, plastic bags avoided, or gallons of water saved are useful progress indicators but not the guiding star for success. Our founders share our vision for transformation at the core of their business. For these generation-defining technologies, we forge forward with a vision of measuring impact in a holistic way that tells the story of positive healing for people and the planet.
Please reach out if you are building regenerative technology with the potential for planetary scale impact.
